The Story

Longview Power is a 769 MW nameplate supercritical coal-fired power generating facility. When complete, Longview is expected to be among the cleanest and most efficient coal-fired plants in the U.S., utilizing a highly efficient boiler design and the best available pollution control technology to minimize air emissions. Its location at the mine mouth gives Longview access to an efficient, low-cost coal supply. The scope and scale of this project required the comprehensive lift solutions that only a company with Maxim’s resources can provide. This included over 40 operated and maintained cranes of various types and sizes. In addition, Maxim provided project planning, project engineering, and industry leading safety practices for the duration of the project.

The Result

Over 175,000 hours of work completed without a major safety incident.
