The Project

Located in Chandler, Arizona, Intel Fab 42 is one of the most advanced high volume semiconductor factories in the world. Fab 42 required over 24,000 tons of steel rebar, 21,000 tons of structural steel and the excavation of 875,000 cubic yards of dirt. The total project cost was $5.0 billion.

The scope and scale of this project required the comprehensive lift solutions that only a company with Maxim’s resources can provide. This included over 30 operated and maintained cranes of various types and sizes. A major element of the project was the use of a 3,200 metric ton crane, one of the largest in the world. In addition, Maxim provided project planning, project engineering, and industry leading safety practices for the duration of the project.

The Result

Over 90,000 hours of work completed without a major safety incident.
